It rained heavily during the night, and we were lucky that mist had formed in the vast areas of the Masai Mara! We were on the way to a familiar pride of lions. In this area of the Masai Mara the areas are challenging to traverse with an off-road vehicle. The ground is littered with thick boulders. You can only cross this area at walking pace, and you are being shaken very badly the whole time. I'm always impressed by how well the drivers can handle the vehicles and what these vehicles can withstand! After 20 minutes of this torture, we were rewarded. We found this handsome male lion posing in the mist in front of us.
